Pig Breeds
Configure breed information and characteristics
Access: PiggyPro → Configuration → Pig Breeds
Default Breeds Included:
- • Yorkshire (Large White)
- • Landrace
- • Duroc
- • Hampshire
- • Berkshire
- • Pietrain
Adding Custom Breeds:
- Click Create
- Enter breed name and code
- Add characteristics (average weight, growth rate, etc.)
- Set breed-specific feeding requirements
- Save the breed
Feed Types
Manage feed specifications and costs
Access: PiggyPro → Configuration → Feed Types
Configure for each feed type:
- • Feed name and category (Starter, Grower, Finisher, etc.)
- • Nutritional content (protein %, energy, fiber)
- • Cost per kg
- • Supplier information
- • Recommended usage (age/weight ranges)
💡 Tip
Keep feed costs updated regularly for accurate financial reporting.
Feeding Schedules
Set up age and weight-based feeding programs
Access: PiggyPro → Configuration → Feeding Schedules
Create schedules for:
- • Piglets (0-8 weeks)
- • Growers (8-16 weeks)
- • Finishers (16+ weeks)
- • Lactating sows
- • Pregnant sows
- • Boars
For each schedule, define:
- • Age range (min/max weeks)
- • Weight range (optional)
- • Feed type to use
- • Daily amount per pig (kg)
- • Number of feedings per day
Health Procedure Templates
Create templates for vaccinations and treatments
Access: PiggyPro → Configuration → Health Procedure Templates
Default templates include:
- • Iron injection (3 days old)
- • E. coli vaccination
- • Erysipelas vaccination
- • Parvovirus vaccination
- • Deworming protocols
Customize templates with:
- • Procedure name and type
- • Detailed instructions
- • Medication and dosage
- • Recommended age/weight
- • Frequency and intervals

Location Management
Define storage areas and farm facilities
Access: PiggyPro → Configuration → Farm Locations
Location Types:
Main storage facility
Indoor storage areas

For each location, configure:
- • Location name and code
- • Location type
- • Capacity (with units: kg, liters, cubic meters)
- • Temperature and humidity controls
- • Security level
- • Maintenance schedule

Creating Custom Templates:
- Click Create
- Enter template name and category

System Settings
ID Generation Settings
Access: Settings → Technical → Sequences
Automatic ID Generation:
- • Pig IDs (e.g., PIG001, PIG002)
- • Batch numbers (e.g., BATCH001)
- • Breeding record numbers
- • Health record numbers
Customize sequences:
- • Prefix (e.g., change "PIG" to "FARM-PIG")
- • Number padding (001 vs 0001)
- • Starting number
- • Reset frequency (yearly, never)
Notification Settings
Configure email notifications for:
