Task Management

Creating Tasks

  1. Go to PiggyPro → Operations → Tasks
  2. Click Create
  3. Enter task details:
    • Task Name - Descriptive title
    • Category - Feeding, Health Check, Cleaning, Maintenance, etc.
    • Priority - Low, Normal, High, Urgent
    • Due Date - When task should be completed
    • Assigned To - Team member responsible
    • Related Pig/Batch - Optional link to specific pigs
    • Description - Detailed instructions
  4. Save the task

Completing Tasks

  1. Open the task from your task list
  2. Review task details and instructions
  3. Perform the required work
  4. Add completion notes or observations
  5. Mark task as Done
  6. Task moves to completed list with timestamp

Recurring Tasks & Schedules

Setting Up Recurring Tasks

Create tasks that repeat automatically:

  1. Create a new task
  2. Set Recurrence Type to one of:
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
    • Custom interval
  3. Set recurrence interval (e.g., every 2 weeks)
  4. Optionally set end date for recurrence
  5. Save the task

🔄 Automatic Creation

New task instances are automatically created based on the recurrence schedule.

Task Templates

Create templates for common tasks:

  1. Go to PiggyPro → Configuration → Task Templates
  2. Click Create
  3. Define template with standard instructions
  4. Use template when creating new tasks

PiggyPro includes default templates for common farm activities.

PiggyPro automatically creates tasks for important events:

Breeding-Related Tasks

  • • Heat check reminders (21 days after mating)
  • • Pregnancy check reminders
  • • Move to farrowing pen (7 days before due date)
  • • Farrowing preparation tasks

Health-Related Tasks

  • • Scheduled vaccinations
  • • Follow-up health checks
  • • Medication administration reminders

Inventory Tasks

  • • Low stock alerts
  • • Feed refill reminders
  • • Medication expiry warnings

  1. Go to PiggyPro → Operations → Maintenance Schedules
  2. Click Create
  3. Enter equipment details:
    • Equipment name and type
    • Location
    • Maintenance frequency
    • Last maintenance date
    • Maintenance instructions
  4. System automatically creates maintenance tasks

  • Review task list daily, preferably at the start of each day
  • Set realistic due dates and priorities
